It sounds like the air show was a great success for RAEDC and the companies that attended from Rockford. What do we need to do to keep the momentum going? I agree that attending the Farnborough show is the right thing to do, but we also need to do things in the interim - e.g. Keep working with the contacts you made, publicize the Rockford area in trade publications, keep the local politicians involved and enthused, arrange meetings with airframers, etc. Ingenium will be happy to support your ongoing efforts to bring new companies to the area.
